Trump has to go … for what, who knows?

October 10, 2019

I guess we’ll just have to see how this whole impeachment thing plays out in the coming months. There are several things I find very curious and just can’t seem to get a grip on. We know, at least those of us who tear ourselves away from the main-stream media ‘news’ that the Democrats and unsavory characters (hold-overs from team Obama) have been pushing impeachment since even before Trump was sworn in. That is a proven fact. There’s no real point in going over the mountain of evidence of how the Trump campaign was literally spied on, infiltrated by lewd fellows of the baser sort, and set up for a phony investigation (investigating what, no one knows) which was really a two year cover-up for Obama and Hillary. The so called “Deep State” was ‘shown the man’ and a crime had to be uncovered. As Mueller failed to find anything, even employing a multitude of Democrat attorneys the quest for impeachment only has gotten more desperate. The media who’s primary function is to manipulate public opinion, has ramped up the attacks on the President. During the first two years of President Trump’s term around 92% of the reporting by the major news outlets was negative … beyond negative. Since that failed to sway a significant number of people it appears that percentage is 100% negative.

What I’m finding the most curious is that people actually fall for this stuff. Let’s just look at it this way … Trump is crass. He speaks his mind, a lot of times it seems without thinking. Okay, maybe he cheated on his wife long before running for any political office (something that seems to me should be between he and his wife). He’s rich. (at least he didn’t get rich after becoming President) Hmmmmm … what else is there the loons on the left and self-righteous Never-Trumpers complain about? Can’t think of anything right off hand, so let’s go with what we have.

Trump has accomplished prison reform, tax-cuts, record low unemployment for blacks, Hispanics, women and Asians. Four million new jobs created. Unemployment is at 3.5% (50 year low). A record number of people are working. Household incomes has risen 8%. The U.S. is energy independent. He has gotten a multitude of Americans who were held captive by various unsavory nations released to their families. Consumer confidence at 18 year high. Gas prices are still pretty low. Strengthening of the military. HERE are a few more things. All stuff anyone, Democrat and Republican should be thrilled about. So, I guess my questions are, what’s the problem? What is there to vote against? I guess things aren’t perfect, but geez, I can’t figure out why people want to un-do that stuff.

Checking out what the Democrats are offering:

Medicare for all. “Free college.” $1,000 a month guaranteed income. Free health care for illegal aliens. College debt forgiveness. A green-new deal … eliminating air travel … eliminating the internal combustion engine. Reparations to black folks for slavery. Abolish I.C.E. Complete open borders. Do away with prisons and jails. Do away with the Electoral College. Ban all semi-automatic firearms and magazines holding more than 10 rounds. “Buy-back” all existing semi-automatic firearms, or require them to be turned over to the government after a ‘reasonable’ amount of time. Increase taxes, especially on the ‘rich’ (the definition of “rich” to be determined by the government). Tax-payer funded abortions for all for any reason up to and including the actual birth of a child … er … fetus … er … ‘glob of cells.’ Have the government dictate what medical care we get for our families and when we can get treatment.

I guess all that stuff won’t be so bad as long as whoever is president is a nice guy/gal, smiles a lot and can read a teleprompter well.

There’s a part of me that truly feels some disappointment for my fellow Americans who fell for Trump and are likely to be disappointed before all this chaos ends. Even IF Trump never gets impeached, gets impeached but not past the Senate, or even the long shot of a second term… the immense political disparagement brought about by his presidency will go down in history for not a thing that you’ve pointed out as being “good”, but for the chaos he’s caused and the international political embarrassment brought about by his behavioral shortcomings.

I’m “one of those” who called for getting him outta office the day after he entered office. At that point there was no performance history by which to judge his political “accomplishments”. But to me (and others far more professional than myself to make these judgments) could easily see his behavioral and judgmental problems and narcissistic obsessions as being an inevitable problem for the nation. I certainly could not predict the events that have transpired but the current chaos and embarrassment is the result of those elements I pointed to in the beginning. That is what Trump supporters seem to misjudge regarding the current “hatred” for Trump. It’s not in the least sour grapes for Hillary… that boat sailed the day after the election. It’s all about his abrasive persona and total ignorance of the importance of presidential traditions and ignorance of the Constitution.

He has made zero attempt to disprove ANY of the accusations… from Mueller to the current Congressional impeachment investigation. He name-calls, makes verbal playground attacks, loves to cast doubt on anyone investigating him.. but he never tries to prove himself on any level as being “innocent” of any accusations. He simply deflects by telling lies.. and his greatest crime is obstructing any investigation and now ignoring Constitutionally legitimate subpoenas. His obstruction just continues to feed the perception of guilt.

Deep State? If Trump supporters feel comfortable with all the conspiracy theories making Trump a “victim”, so be it. Nixon thought his enemies were everywhere as well. That comes with the personal paranoia of the individual.
You and his other supporters constantly lament the frustration in being unable to comprehend how much Trump can be picked on when he’s done so much good. Let’s make this easy. People in general just don’t like a jerk no matter how much good the jerk does. Personality DOES make a difference as do the words the personality uses. It’s not overly complex to understand, Steve.

Reading your eloquently articulated comment almost convinced me you were going to actually say something of substance. Tell us pray-tell, since when does one have to ‘disprove’ an accusation? I kinda thought that the burden of proof is placed on the person or persons doing the accusing … ah … to get into the mind of a liberal, what an enlightenment! Interesting line: “… no performance history by which to judge his political “accomplishments”. I think we’ve had 44 other presidents in the last couple hundred years of which we can judge and compare accomplishments. I trust you clicked on the link to get the sample of what President Trump has done against all odds I might add. It’s also interesting when I hear (read in this case) how much ‘damage’ and ’embarrassment’ he’s brought on our “democracy” and the “values” we hold dear as Americans, without pointing to one case in point. But alas! Just saying it makes it so.
You do have a point … a lot of people would rather be stabbed in the back by a guy who is articulate, cool and well spoken than actually prosper via a guy who eats pizza with a fork.

Ohh.. I dunno, Steve.. seems the typical response to being accused of something one might offer up some semblance of a defense rather than spewing out a bunch juvenile name-calling, lying to deflect, and personal attacks on whomever made the charges in the first place. Investigating-the-investigators is a usual formula for him as well. It doesn’t take a math genius to put two and two together to see that in order for him to prove anything he would have to provide testimony, documentation (taxes?), and allow others to also testify… and that places him in far greater jeopardy. Far easier to stand at a distance and lament about being a victim of enemies.
It is interesting to note that when his supporters want proof/examples of all of Trump’s alleged foibles… it’s a tell-tale example in itself that they don’t bother to learn that on their own by getting away from FOX from time to time. I go over to FOX on occasion.. daring to venture away from all that nasty liberal bias on those other networks… to see if there’s anything notable. Actually.. those FOX folks have been leaning away from Trump a bit.

Sigh, when President Trump was set up for the Mueller “investigation” he claimed time and again there was nothing and it was harassment, a witch hunt, etc. Because he dared to “offer up” anything in his own defense, he was accused of … you said it, ‘deflecting,’ ‘lying,’ and ‘personal attacks’ even though he’s been the one (along with his family and friends) attacked mercilessly. So, defending isn’t “presidential” and not defending is an admission of guilt. Seems a little getting it both ways for the left and a no-win situation for President Trump. Side note here: I don’t watch Fox News … I don’t watch television. Haven’t for around 15 years. I will say this though, Ray Charles can see what the media has been and is doing to Trump and personally, I find it disgusting. The media is masking and hiding the truth. It’s beyond obvious. Liberals love it in the sense that regardless of whether anything is true or not, if it’s Trump bashing, it’s all good. It has to suck being a liberal. I’ve noticed they are the most miserable, unhappy people around and won’t be content until everyone else is just as miserable.
I wonder what Hillary meant when she realized Trump was closing in on a victory in 2016 and said, “If that f – – – ing bastard wins, we all hang from nooses!” Kinda sounds like investigating the investigators is prudent, seeing Hillary and the DNC paid for the ‘insurance policy.’

Well, Steve.. as I alluded to earlier… there’s a lot of folks like yourself who support Trump and I truly do feel a bit sorry for any disappointment in having placed your trust in him. People aren’t bad for who they support and we need to find that feeling again in the country. I’ve followed a number of Conservative blogs like your’s to keep in tune with the general discourse. Minds seldom are changed in this medium.. but if you listen (read for comprehension) sometimes one can learn about their neighbors. I’ve been dropping out of some of those blogs recently as most seem to have quieted down in their political rhetoric… either focusing on “old” Hillary/Obama issues that have no relevance to present day events or going into religious discussions. Seems to feel like a sense of frustrating futility on their end. I can tell you’re a decent guy.. and you’ve certainly been patient allowing me to interject from time to time.. one reason I’ve been sticking around. It seems to all be going downhill now… even if the Senate votes to keep him around, his second term is looking pretty remote. Yet anything can happen with future events… as we know.

Please don’t feel sorry for me in my support for President Trump Doug. Trust me, there’s zero … or near zero disappointment for me in his first three years. My disappointment comes only from the treatment of the media towards him. I mean, the guy’s favorability is still in the mid 40’s despite nothing but negative press. If he got even a bit of honesty from the press he’d probably be in the mid 50’s or even 60%. Of course this is debatable when reasoning with anyone who thinks Donald Trump is everything evil in the world and deserves the 24/7 bashing whether said bashing is true or not. It’s a bit curious to me how Trump can be wrong on everything. As much as I detested Obama and G.W. Bush, occasionally they would get something right. Not Trump … orange man bad … real bad.
I do appreciate your visits and comments Doug. Actually, folks can be changed via blogs and reasoning. My very good friend John Liming was a stanch, stark-raving, pro-abortion, even pro-Kermit Gosnell liberal for years. We went back and forth on both this site and his, even going so far as to block each other periodically. Suddenly, and I don’t know what happened, John out of the clear blue turned into one of the most conservative people I’ve ever met, a complete 180 degree turn around. Even Paulette the Mad Jewess commented on John’s “conversion.” I talked with him on the phone a couple of weeks ago and he’s doing great.
Anyway, again, I appreciate your input here and regardless of our differing opinions, my hope is we remain friends.

Yeah.. wondered where old John Liming went. He’d be on my blog.. then vanish in a huff.. then come back. I would exchange with him on other blogs.. then he fell off my radar completely. Glad he’s still alive & kicking. Although he seemed to get his mood swings. 🙂

Rudy Giuliani has the affidavits that prove the evidence beyond any preponderance of a doubt that the DemoKKKrats were involved in the corruption in the Ukraine

Well, as of this morning Rudy, et al, have their own problems as two of his minions have been arrested for campaign violations.. taking money for campaign donation from the Ukraine government to oust the former Ambassador Yovanovich because she was too harsh on Ukrainian corruption. If you recall Trump never gave a reason for recalling her. A Congressman was also mentioned somewhere. Things are getting a bit dicey for Rudy… and the Prez.

HocusPocus13 brought up Giuliani and his affidavits to prove/disprove one thing or another so I brought up the current news to suggest that Rudy himself seems to be teetering on the edge of something here. Didn’t think I was all that off-topic. Sorry..

Investigating people who bring false accusations really is a good idea. It’s just too bad Republicans are so spineless. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2019/10/10/senators-so-about-those-false-claims-made-under-oath-about-justice-kavanaugh-n2554497

Trump has to go because they wanted someone else. They’d have done this to whoever defeated Hillary, having forgotten that they also dumped Hillary like a hot rock in the 2008 primaries. He has to go because he represents that their attempt to “fundamentally transform America” didn’t work quite like they thought it did. They thought they’d be in charge forever, believing they’d finally killed the American Dream, but he proves them wrong. They hate him because he represents the Americans they hate.

Mike is still around. I hear occasionally from Sherry & Meg. Jim aka Father Guido has had a rough time medically from continuing complications from his cancer treatment and surgery many years ago. Max died a few years ago. I still gets jokes almost daily from Mike & Jim. I noticed a few folks, including Mike sent birthday wishes on your old Facebook page that’s still open. Hope you and Rini had a great day celebrating your birthday.

That saddens me about Max. I hardly even remember my old Facebook account. I haven’t been there for years now. Rina is on Facebook but I really don’t even know what ID she’s using. We went out to Logan’s in Burleson Saturday evening. It was okay. I enjoy spending time with little Rina. I still work full time so any time we get to spend together is cherished immensely. Thank you for the update on some of the old JJ crew. I surely hope you and your family are doing good.
