We cannot compromise with the gun-grabbers

March 25, 2018

I saw this picture over at Twitter …

To answer the person’s question: Yes freedom is much more important than safety, if you want a direct answer to your question.

To bolster that answer, if we are to give up our freedom … or in the context of what the “March” is for … give up our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms and put our absolute trust in the U.S. government for safety, then we would be making a fatal mistake. History is full of that scenario where the people are unarmed and very bad thing happened to them via their governments. Since when do we think America is any different? Because politicians wear suits and flag pins? Because they say patriotic things? I believe they equally say unpatriotic things … just ask Barack and Michelle Obama how much they love America. Barack made it his mission to travel the globe and apologize for America’s greatness and liberties we enjoy. Michelle was never “proud” of America until Barack was elected.

I don’t want to get side-tracked here. So, don’t think for a minute that liberals and Democrats will stop at banning “assault style” weapons. That is only the starting point. Briefly, remember when abortion was the big issue of the day … back in the 70’s? The argument of the left was, “What about in cases of incest, rape and if the life of the mother is in danger?” We caved to that argument and voila, we got abortion on demand, for any reason, at any stage of pregnancy, and it’s been a fight ever since to stop the unrestrained murder of tens of millions of unborn babies.

There can be absolutely no compromise with the left.

Reblogged this on Roberts Thoughts 2 and commented:

We know the need to preserve our Democracy and our freedoms but History has shown that from time to time various civilized countries have gone off the rails and created terrible circumstances for themselves and the world around them through total ignorance (Germany, 1939-41)(Japan 1941)(Russia, 1917)(to name a few) and to this date The United States has escaped the curse of caving in to those kinds of destructive forces. But who is to say The United States will be forever immune? We may be on the brink of one of the darkest periods in American History and those who bring it about will bring it about by using the false argument that they are doing what they are doing for the good of the country. Like the burning of the Reichstag by Hitler, this gun thing might be the catalyst that America’s destroyers are looking for and if enough people get on board with it, God help us all.

No doubt and sad kids aren’t taught real history if any at all. What’s the saying? Don’t learn from history, doomed to repeat it.

Yeah, now they’re taught “tolerance…” or should I say the acceptance of perversion as natural. “History?” The educational system is re-writing history to fit a far left ideology.

Prisoners are safe, and not free. Three hots and a cot, everything provided to them, free health care, etc. This is the life libs want. Ironically, prison guards are armed, despite being surrounded by an unarmed populace. Libs need to just think about that for a bit.

    *hugs* my friend!

Well, Steve.. not sure who the “we” is who allegedly caved.. Roe v. Wade was decided by SCOTUS made up of 6 Republican justices and 3 Dems.
What’s abortion got to do with gun control anyway? Two VERY different arguments… even if you’re trying to use such a comparison to justify not compromising on anything just because you feel you’re on the loosing end.

I should not really have a comment as I am not an American, but where do you stop with demanding an end to this or that. Guns are not the real problem, its those that have the guns those that fire the guns, there are strict gun law here, so they say, but enough guns are in the wrong hands. I can never see an end to Guns in America, what protection do we have here in the UK, none – the Police are are unarmed except those specialized Police. Yet we have guns on the streets certain races use them all the time, shooting one another for example.

Nothing more the Lefties like than to protest and dictate to others what they can or cannot do. We are just letting these dictators get away with too much. Its time the rest of us told the Bleeding Heart Liberals exactly where they can go.

Over here the right to keep and bear arms, as with any of our cherished Bill of Rights, comes with the responsibility in understanding that humans are diverse and there will be no question that some humans will try and take advantage of a particular freedom in order to abuse it for power, profit, or as a consequence of emotional maladies.
Take freedom of speech for example… you use that freedom in such a way as to convey some public misrepresentation or unfounded accusation toward another, thus infringing on their freedoms, then you can be taken to task in a court of law.

The same for any other Constitutional right.. including the right to keep and bear arms. Just because the right exists in the Constitution does not mean we absolve ourselves of the social responsibility that the right does not infringe on others’ rights… which that infringement usually means death.. the ultimate violation of rights. Once dead, that dead person has absolutely no recourse in the courts for satisfaction from their assailant. Society assumes the role to punish the person responsible; civil law MIGHT be available for survivors to recover from the assailant. Where is the fair and equal treatment there for the person murdered? The right to keep and bear arms itself killed this person.
Yet we have a large number of Americans who worship owning their guns for whatever convenient reason, more than they care about the Second Amendment itself as one of the Bill of Rights.

That’s the moral imperative in all this.

Ask law enforcement Doug! Geez, I’m not trying to be rude but you’re pushing me to the limit in your utter moronic reasoning. Like I said, ask law enforcement about ‘fair and equal’ treatment for victims. I didn’t see you bitching when Kate Stienle was murdered by an illegal alien. You surely don’t have to capacity to have any constructive dialogue. Your asinine comments aren’t even worth replying to. I could say the sky is blue and you’d come up with an argument that “it really isn’t. It’s just the sun’s rays going through the atmosphere which make is appear blue.” You’re argumentative and, sad to say, can’t carry on an intellectual conversation.
You can’t even read with any comprehension! In reply to your question about abortion … abortion has nothing to do with gun-control. I simply used that issue to illustrate why we can’t compromise with the left. I’m stunned you can’t grasp the point. I’ve grow weary having to break down the most simple of points.
