Two United States … A very good idea
I was thinking this morning that maybe it would be a good thing, seeing the nation is so divided and “polarized” that the U.S. just physically and governmentally divide the country. I’m not talking (writing in this case) about a civil war. I’m talking about a peaceful dividing of the nation into two individual, sovereign countries. One country will be home to Democrats, RINOs and the left. They can have all the liberal, left-wing folks. They can take in all the illegal aliens they want. They can marry or not marry anyone they choose. The same-sex folks can adopt any children they choose. They can ban any and all guns from private ownership. They can do away with every Christian church and liberal bakers can bake cakes honoring gay marriage all day long. They can abort unborn children freely right up until the time the “fetus” is coming down the birth canal. Heck, they can ‘abort’ children up until the age of two years old if they so choose. They can tax the people at whatever rate they want, especially the rich at 100% if they so choose. Black communities will be free to prosper uninterrupted by conservatives. Laws and punishment will be meted out according to the liberal judicial system. They will be free to practice any and all liberal ideals and create the utopia they dream of.
The other sovereign country will be that of the conservative persuasion. We’ll cling to our Bibles and guns. We’ll allow our citizens to keep and bear the same small arms as the military, of course with restrictions. Liberals do not get a say or vote in our governing body. We’ll ban abortions completely. There will be no same-sex marriage. Homosexuals can live and practice their life-style freely as consenting adults … but no marriage except as defined by the Bible and constitution … one man to one woman. Black and minority communities are free to prosper under the umbrella of conservatism. Anyone who can’t accept the conservative ‘agenda’ is free to live in the liberal nation. Laws and punishment will be meted out according to the conservative judicial system.
Of course this only touches a couple of the issues we are so divided over … but the partitioning of the country will be all inclusive ideally, governmentally, fundamentally, religiously, economically, militarily and morally. Both countries will have their own constitutions. The conservative nation will continue with our existing one. The left can write their own … along with a new Bill of Rights, etc.
Logistically it would be difficult … but doable. I think it’s a great idea. Then time will tell which country prospers and which winds up in abject poverty and turns into a 3rd world sh#t-hole … it won’t take long folks, and guess which goes first …
Cry and Howl 
I realize this is your fictionalized scenario that bodes well with a conservative mindset and you’re just “spitballing” an option, but would it be easier for conservatives in general,
…for all their hatred of government,
…for all their lavishing conspiracy theories,
…for all their distrust in Congress and politicians,
…for all their tales of woe that manufacturing jobs, that manufacturing jobs have vanished and it’s not a “white America” anymore,
…for all their rhetoric that global warming science is nothing but corrupt government in action, …for all their concerns that Sandy Hook was a government conspiracy and Parkland’s student are obviously being fed lines by the liberal media,
…for despising all media (except conservative media)
…for all their love of the Second Amendment being the end-all divine right…
……..if conservatives feel that way and are so disheartened and that there’s no alternative but to split the country politically into two countries… wouldn’t it be easier to just leave the country and find one more suited to your preferences? There are literally 195 choices out there. Surely one would be far better than this place, right? But.. like you, I’m just spitballing here. There is another option… try and compromise. The end result might not be your personal Utopia, but you won’t have to rent a U-Haul.

Ditto Doug. For all the love liberals have of the government providing everything for you from the cradle to the grave. For all the gullibility to buy whatever the government feeds you, despite endless contradictions and eyewitness accounts; despite the unquestioned faith in politicians and those who’ve created cities like Detroit and Chicago; despite the hatred of white people … by white people … and use blacks and minorities for votes; despite the hatred of Constitutional rights to protect ourselves; despite the ridiculous faith in media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC which desperately tried to rig the election for Hillary, just like they did against Bernie; despite denying the science that an unborn child is actually a human being, yet clinging to fake science of man-made global warming … grasping only the ‘science’ that fits an agenda … despite liberals grant credibility to those who can’t even figure out which bathroom to use and eat laundry soap; despite forwarding the idea that taking it up the poop-chute and fisting is natural and encourage children to practice those things; despite that guns are evil only when used in school shootings but okay in inner cities and when illegal aliens use them to kill innocent Americans … there is 195 choices out there. At least my idea allows liberals to stay on the continent. I’ll wager a month’s pay the liberal America will look identical to every city run by liberals right now. It’s unavoidable. They produce nothing but poverty, disease, corruption, perversion … hell, they can’t even reproduce, (fortunately) LOL! Men with men, working that which is unseemly … and even the women leaving the natural use of the body …
Yeah, I’ll cling to my Bible and my guns. You can cling to your cell phone with 911 on speed dial and let children dictate which rights you can have.
One final thing: Liberals do not ‘compromise.’ It’s all or none with them. Abortion is the perfect example. “What about cases of rape, incest or if the life of the mother is in danger? Can’t we allow abortion in those cases???”
“Sure.” 50 million abortions since 1972 later … That’s a lot of rape and incest. Abortion on demand for any reason, at any stage of pregnancy. It’s not even abortion any more … it’s women’s heath and reproductive “rights.” Liberals are good at creating ‘rights’ … but want to take away genuine rights actually written in our Constitution. “Compromise?” Okay … let’s let the left ban “assault” weapons. The next shooting happens with a hand-gun … is that next? I mean, who uses a hand gun for ‘hunting?’ Nah, I think I’ll pass on the compromise thing. You illustrated that liberals don’t compromise. Liberals lie way too much.

I think the ill-logic and your compiled misunderstandings and misconceptions have just made my case, sir. You sound a bit like “Rocket Man” Little Kim… “there will be no talks and compromises on any issue unless I get to keep my nukes.” In this case Trump is being the perfect liberal (by your definition)… “you have to give up your nukes before we ever come to the table and compromise.”

You obviously have a comprehension deficiency Doug. You seem to have missed my point on why there is no compromising with liberals. Typical.
As a result … no sir, I would never compromise with the left. Their focus is on the end game. Getting compromises is simply the avenue of getting there. Take your parcel and make it what you want. Just stay out of mine.

Dear Steve: I think if this division of the country into the two separate entities that you mention here were to actually happen, the Conservative side would definitely need to hang onto their weapons because in no time at all the Dim-dicks would be crossing the borders with conquest on their mind and they would be dragging their immigrant army behind them and all their drag queens in uniform would be slaughtering Conservatives at will while smearing their cold dead faces with wedding cake.

There are lots of communist and socialist countries that liberals can go to. Conservatives get to keep this one, as we’re the ones clinging to our Consitution (which libs hate anyway), which was designed for here. 🙂
